Surrounded by the breathtaking natural beauty of the region, this two-day immersive retreat offers a unique opportunity to learn a new skill. The intensive, hands-on learning environment allows participants to focus entirely on mastering the technique of wheel-throwing, allowing you to rapidly advance your learning. Additionally, the immersive nature of the workshop fosters a sense of community and shared purpose among participants, making it a memorable retreat from the everyday hustle.
Participants will enjoy two nights of accommodation at our AirBnB nestled in the heart of Pemberton. (click link to see accommodation) The house, conveniently located adjacent to the clay studio, offers a cozy and inviting retreat, perfectly designed to enhance the creative and relaxing atmosphere of the pottery workshop.
Meals are crafted to highlight the flavours of Pemberton's local produce and artisanal products, offering participants a true taste of the region's farm-to-table culture.

This pottery workshop is designed for beginners eager to explore the world of ceramics. You will learn basic wheel-throwing techniques, creating your own functional pieces.

After each day of creative exploration, unwind in the serene surroundings, have a hot tub or simply relax on the patio. The evenings are perfect for connecting with fellow participants, sharing experiences, and perhaps enjoying a glass of wine.
Itinerary:
Day 1 - Introduction to clay
- 2PM arrive and get settled
- 3-6PM Studio time - Introduction to pottery basics. Dive into your first hands-on session, getting comfortable with clay and various tools.
- 7PM Dinner
- Evening: Free time to connect with fellow participants and relax.
Day 2 - Wheel Throwing for beginners
- 8AM Breakfast
- 9-12PM Studio time - Wheel throwing
- 12-2PM: Lunch
- 2-5PM - Studio time - Wheel throwing.
- 7PM Dinner
- Evening: Free time to explore
Day 3 - Trimming and decorating
- 8AM Breakfast
- 9-12AM Studio time- Trimming, attachments and decoration of thrown pieces.
- Your pieces will have to slowly dry over the next 2 weeks. They will be glazed in a Matt Satin White glaze and shipped to you.
- 1PM Departure
Note: The itinerary may be subject to slight changes based on the workshop's progress and participants' preferences.
- Workshop is non- refundable, but is transferable to another person.
- Should the minimum amout of participants (4) not be reached within a week of the start date, the workshop will be cancelled and you will receive a full refund.
